The Ecumenical Protestant Methodist Episcopal Church

A Church of Scripture, Prayer, Holiness, and Mission

Founded under the leadership of Presider Bishop Robert Horwath, we are an independent Protestant Christian church rooted in the Holy Scriptures and the historic Protestant faith.

All Seeking Christ Are Welcome

The Ecumenical Protestant Methodist Episcopal Church welcomes all who seek Jesus Christ, desire the grace of God, and wish to live a life shaped by Scripture, prayer, holiness, worship, and mission. We are a church for those who desire serious Christian faith, reverent worship, and a disciplined life of prayer and service.

Morning Prayer

The church encourages daily Morning and Evening Prayer, private devotion, Scripture reading, and intercession to form a life of constant communion with God.

Word • Prayer • Holy Communion

Holy Communion

We celebrate the sacred meal instituted by Christ, a means of grace, thanksgiving, remembrance, and spiritual nourishment for the body of believers.

Scripture

Our worship is centered on the reading and preaching of Holy Scripture, the final rule of faith and practice, and the historic Protestant witness.

Join Us in Prayer, Worship, and Mission

Whether you are seeking a spiritual home, returning to Christian faith, exploring Protestant worship, or looking for a disciplined life of prayer and service, you are invited to walk with us in Christ.

Who We Are

The Ecumenical Protestant Methodist Episcopal Church is an independent Protestant Christian church drawing from the historic Methodist Episcopal and Protestant Episcopal traditions. We confess the faith of the Holy Scriptures, receive the classic Protestant witness, honor the Book of Common Prayer tradition, and embrace the Methodist vision of personal and social holiness.

We are evangelical in preaching, liturgical in worship, episcopal in order, Methodist in holiness, Protestant in doctrine, and ecumenical in Christian charity. Our mission is to preach Christ, teach Scripture, celebrate the sacraments, form disciples, care for souls, and send believers into the world as witnesses of God’s grace.
